HISTORY

1984

Effe2 is founded as a sole proprietorship by Tiziano Fontanella, a knitwear technician and production manager for a major luxury brand.

1995

The company’s desire to expand its service offerings leads to the addition of prototyping and sampling services. Maria Grazia Piasio, product director for luxury brands and Tiziano’s wife, joins the company and plays a key role in its growth.

2003

Laura Fontanella, the eldest daughter, with a degree in Economics and Commerce and professional experience in the financial sector, joins the company, bringing new ideas and skills.

2007

The company moves to a new location in response to growing demand and new market opportunities.

2011

Matteo Fontanella, a lawyer and Laura’s brother, joins the company as a member of the management team and then takes on the role of production manager.

JUNE 2021

Effe2 enters a new phase of development and growth. Shortly after, Camilla Bandera, Laura’s daughter, joins the company: she is the first member of the third generation of the family to be actively involved in the business.

RESEARCH AND EXPERIMENTATION

The essence of Effe2 is deeply rooted in research, experimentation and innovation, as the company constantly strives to create new solutions by combining fabrics, treatments and knitwear. By working closely with workshops, craftsmen and schools, Effe2 inspires and encourages product managers, designers and merchandisers of major fashion houses and brands to experiment and come up with new ideas and innovative solutions.

Effe2 takes an “open innovation” approach, investing in research and services with the aim of minimizing its impact on the environment and improving the efficiency of its processes.
